Trilhos dos Abutres Digital Edition
This year, 2021, the epic Trilhos dos Abutres race was expected not to take place due to the current pandemic restrictions, but Cream’s adventurous DNA did not allow that to happen, challenging the Associação Abutrica to organise a digital debate on the theme ‘Trail Running, more than just a race’.
All communication and logistical organisation was handled by Cream, continuing this long-standing partnership in pursuit of a better future for this sport, which has been growing at double-digit rates.

On the date in which the 11th edition of Trilhos dos Abutres was to be held, the 30th of January, all participants in this event were able to follow on the digital platforms, such as Facebook and YouTube, the conversations between representatives of entities such as the Portugal’s Trail Running Association, the Portuguese Athletics Federation, the ITRA, the Portugal’s Tourism Center, the Aldeias do Xisto, the University of Coimbra, the Municipal’s Council of Miranda do Corvo leadership and, of course, the National Ultra Trail Champions.
During the debate, a revelation was made that sparked several positive considerations: the future Abutrico High Performance Centre. A project by the Abutrica Association that aims to train high-level athletes at all levels and continue to create infrastructure for the sport to grow sustainably in the coming years.
The event ended with words of hope from the Abutrica Association, expressing their desire to return next year to the ‘most epic trails in Portugal,’ culminating in the release of a mini-film featuring the best moments of the 2020 edition of Trilhos dos Abutres, compiled by Cream Agency.
