Voltas do Impossível, sustainability and balance in first place!

The Voltas do Impossível is an event that aims to provide a unique, personal experience with a strong connection to the territory, a territory that must be protected!

There has always been harmony between Cream and the Confraria Trotamontes, in the certainty that this would be an event with minimal impact on the environment. And, from the outset, work has been done in this direction, with the aim of moving forward and demanding more from ourselves, as an organisation, to minimise waste production, resource consumption and impact.

These are some of the measures we have been implementing:
> Reduction, to a minimum, of printed promotional materials, favouring digital media.
> The athletes’ race bibs are made of fabric, recyclable, and printed with environmentally friendly inks.
> Transport permits* printed on FSC Certified paper.
> Reduced number of athletes.
> Signage on the course is minimal and reusable.
> The event is in perfect synchrony with the locals, in particular the main venue, Rio de Frades.
> The organisation does not supply any type of materials (merchandising/ support/ food).

This is an event with the support of: Municipality of Arouca

*Transport permits are the method we found to control the athletes’ passages, without relying on materials or technology.

The moment to pull a fast one on the Voltas ao Impossível is back.
