From a partnership between Cream and Confraria Trota Montes came the Voltas do Impossível – a project supported by the Arouca Municipal Council with the aim of boosting the Municipality, resulting in an Ultra Trail adventure that transported athletes back to 1942 to venture into the “wolfram rush” while the World was at war—a narrative upon which José Moutinho, affectionately nicknamed the “Father of National Trail Running,” based the creation of the race.
