2021: A CHALLENGING YEAR FOR THE SPORTS INDUSTRY

2021 was a year of change and adaptation for Cream, but also one of constant learning and evolution. It is undeniable that the sports sector continued to be greatly affected by the pandemic, but, lovers of challenges as we are, we took advantage of this situation to invest in online projects and to differentiate ourselves.  

We launched our first 100% online event related to Trail Running, theDigital Edition of Trilhos dos Abutres 2021”, as a way to celebrate the day on which the 11th Edition of Trilha dos Abutres, would have taken place, with the support and participation of the biggest names in the field, such as the Portuguese Trail Running Association, the Portuguese Athletics Federation, the International Trail Running Association, among others.

We were present at the National Trail Championship, in Batalha, the National Ultra Trail Championship, in Madeira, and the Portuguese Trail Cup, in the Azores, covering the events on the ground for the ATRP (Portuguese Trail Running Association).

We launched the The North Wallbrand, an indoor climbing and fitness space that has revolutionised the sports market in the city of Porto and which presented itself with a distinctive graphic approach.

We are proud to have developed our first project for the ‘beautiful game’, creating the brand and visual identity forElegant Definition, which works in athlete management and challenges itself to highlight the premium side of football.

Kreative Ideas, a brand of medals and trophies, entrusted Cream with continuing its rebranding. The brand felt the need to define a new strategic positioning. So, Cream accepted the challenge of highlighting the brand’s most creative side and reinforcing its commitment to sustainability through rebranding.

Our team continues to work on the communication and digital marketing strategy for the Runners online store, addressing different areas of the project, such as social media management, email marketing, product photography, and advertising for the brands represented by the store, such as Compressport, Adidas, New Balance and Hoka One One

One of the highlights of the year goes to our communication and marketing work for Vouga Trail, an event that, although recent, has great ambitions and a lot of potential for growth in terms of trail running and active tourism. The event will take place in January next year, in Sever do Vouga, and will be full of great news!  

Once again, we made the impossible possible and worked on the communication for this iconic adventure, “As Voltas do Impossível”, a project that would go on to win an award at ART & TUR – International Tourism Film Festival, in the Sports and Leisure category,  recognising all the creativity and passion we put into the projects we are involved in.

We were also awarded the Bronze prize at theLusophone Creativity Awards, in the Sports Event category, for our work on the National Trail Running Championship 2020, which took place on the Trilhos dos Abutres, in which Cream created the “Abutrico Passport”, fostering a sense of belonging and community among all those who took part in the event, uniquely reinforcing the brand signature “You make it Epic”.
